The Campton-Merry Institute

The Campton-Merry Institute is a somewhat obscure organization devoted to investigating paranormal phenomena.

( Admin: What sort of budget do they generally deal with? I was thinking that they have some original endowment from an eccentric oil baron and muddle along with that. Are they in the know or have they spent the bulk of their time chasing ghost sightings and investigating dowsing claims? )

Prior to the discovery of this phenomenon, which fortuitously was made by one of their graduate students at Misery College (thus keeping the incident in-house), the Institute has had no encounters with the supernatural.  However, through certain private grants they have had access to technology at the bleeding edge.

They have been bankrolled by the Global Initiative, a research investment group with DEEP pockets.  With the funding, the Institute has converted the abandoned building into a fully-functional laboratory.  Your liaison from the Global Initiative, Senior Auditor Kenneth Harker, will provide you pretty much all the equipment you need.  If it sounds like it belongs on the set of the TV show Fringe, it's yours.  Etheric Fourier Inverter?  You can have two.  Harker does ask that ignore the label of "VALKYRIE" that appears on some of the tech.
